Overview
Beth Moshe has a unique Rabbi. He is profoundly traditional yet egalitarian. Besides being deeply compassionate and caring, he is very learned and funny: This makes for some interesting D'Var Torahs and discussions about our personal responsibility as Jews. Our Rebbetzin is the cantorial soloist. Her beautiful voice adds to the spiritual enlightenment of the heart and spirit. They both encourage participatory services.
Beth Moshe has a welcoming culture with a diverse multi-generational membership. We have singles of all ages, young marrieds, families, older couples, Jews-by-Choice and Holocaust survivors.
Our community embraces a wide range of spiritual and emotional needs, behaviors and learning styles. There is a Kabbalat Shabbat Friday evening group, a Shabbat morning group, a few who go to both and others who come especially on High Holidays to renew their soul connection to G-d. We have members who are fluent in Hebrew, and those learning the language and those who are neither. We have a wonderful Jewish preschool, an excellent Sunday school and an exceptional B'nai Mitzvah Hebrew school. We have groups for teens, singles, Men's group and Sisterhood. There are classes on Judaism, Talmud and the true meaning of Tzedaka along with Friday night onegs, Shabbat Kiddush lunches and great parties. We share each other's joys and sorrows. Like our father Abraham, we have a big tent that is open to all.
